Correspondence with The Immortals

Correspondence with The Immortals begins and ends in funhouse sleuthing by two readers of poetry. Along the way, we follow the lively exchange of letters between xxxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxx and the spokesperson for the Eight Famous Poets of The Wine Cup, then sample "ordinary mind" poems from the Pavilion where thoughts wash away. The author's lifelong love of Classical Chinese literature MADE NEW in translation has led him to believe that between ourselves and The Immortals there exists a true correspondence, one that sees the past in the present, the undead in the living, and vice versa. Nothing is extraneous in this book. All of its parts are brought together seamlessly by its editor J.L. Brewer. As it is said in the ancient Zuo Zhuan, "A good soup blends many flavors.
