Corporate behaviour is the behaviour of an organisation when considered as a single body.The behaviour of an organisation is influenced by the arrangements for its ownership and control. When the owner(s) appoint agents to manage the organisation, conflicts of interest arise which are studied as the principal-agent problem.In political science and economics, the principal-agent problem or agency dilemma concerns the difficulties in motivating one party (the "agent"), to act on behalf of another (the "principal"). Common examples of this relationship include corporate management (agent) and shareholders (principal), or politicians (agent) and voters (principal).
