"COME THEN, YOU AND I..." . comprises a selection of poems on various topics that Frank Pagani, a life-long lover of poetry, has written since the 1960s. The selections reflect strong influences of T.S. Eliot, E.E. Cummings and Robert Frost; the music of Gustav Mahler, Benjamin Britten and Dmitri Shostakovich and Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." Some of the poems are elegies of horrific events that profoundly left indelible impressions on the author: the assassination of President Kennedy, the Vietnam War, 9/11 and Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The collection also includes several romantic and nature poems. Born and raised in the Bronx, Frank Pagani has occasionally dipped his pen into the creative process. Some of his poems have been published in The National Poetry Press, local publications in Westchester, New York and Syncopation Literary Journal. He is an award-winning strategic public relations and corporate and marketing communications consultant with more than 50 years of experience.
