Cognitive Human Neuroscience

Cognitive neuroscience is a modern science that studies the functioning of cognitive processes in relation to the specific neural mechanisms by which they occur in the brain and any impairment of these mechanisms. Examples of human neurocognitive domains are complex attention, executive functions, memory, language, visual perception, praxis and social cognition. Neurocognition studies the functioning of these processes, including cognitive assessment, cognitive dysfunctions, and potential rehabilitation options, often resulting from neurological or psychiatric pathologies.
