Clearing and Riding

The Boyce Bros Academy(TM) Clearing & Riding Academy teaches athletes that championships are often won through the hidden possession battles that happen between defense and offense. Rather than treating clearing as simply getting the ball across midfield or riding as chasing the goalie, the Academy reframes both as strategic, team-wide disciplines built on communication, decision-making, spacing, patience, and trust. Athletes learn how to complete efficient clears against a variety of ride packages, make intelligent outlet decisions, use the entire field, lead under pressure, and transition seamlessly from defense into offense. Goalies, defenders, midfielders, and attackmen each have defined responsibilities, with every chapter reinforcing that possession-not flashy plays-is the true currency of championship lacrosse.
