Chris Cohen Overgrown Path (CD)

This music cassette of Chris Cohen’s Overgrown Path presents a warm, intimate blend of indie rock and alternative pop, with a subtle psychedelic, bedroom-pop sensibility. The sound is mellow yet intricate, built from gently tangled guitars, soft rhythms and understated vocals that create a reflective, slightly hazy atmosphere. The cassette edition mirrors the full album, featuring tracks such as Monad, Solitude, Caller No. 99, Rollercoaster Rider and Heart Beat, among others, forming a cohesive listening experience that rewards attentive, start-to-finish playback. Overgrown Path was released in 2012, and on tape it feels particularly home-recorded and personal, emphasizing the album’s detailed arrangements and nostalgic, analog character.
