In 2017, Jon Lakin and three friends set off on a formidable rowing expedition: The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Embarking unassisted in a 30-foot boat across the volatile ocean. The team have no experience and are under immense pressure to raise funds, learn to row and get their boat ocean ready. Chasing Horizons takes us into their expedition: soaring up monstrous waves and surfing down the other side; wrestling with a ferocious ocean whilst desperately repairing the boat; encountering stunning wildlife and mesmerising night skies. We experience the restless ambition and drive to overcome the hurdles they face to finally set foot on Antiguan soil.
