This is a pirate story for 8-12 year old readers. It will appeal to those who enjoy a real adventure, with just a touch of smelly humour. Mr Bluebottle is bored. He used to be a brave sea captain, but now he's stuck on land, with no excitement in sight. He decides to return to sea. Roger, the parrot, is keen, but Ben, his ten-year-old son, would rather stay at home with his X-Box. He thinks his father is just dead boring. Will Ben overcome his reluctance, or will the trials of sea life, huge storms and cruel pirates overcome him? Will they find the treasure and, if they do, will they keep it safe? This is a story of courage, perseverance and unflagging determination. It is the story of a father and son on the journey of a lifetime.
