Capacity Development: Concepts and Methods

Competent and skillful extension professionals are not born; their capacities must be developed through systematic training and techniques. The present book, Capacity Development: Concepts and Methods, has been designed to meet the requirements of Course EXT.505, as prescribed by ICAR for postgraduate students in Agricultural Extension Education. Written in clear and professional language, the book is organized into four blocks and eleven units, comprising eleven chapters for ease of understanding. In addition to serving as a reference, the book includes a dedicated section on the definitions and meanings of key terms, which will particularly aid students in grasping essential concepts. The authors hope that this book will effectively serve both students and teachers in covering the course comprehensively.
