In recent years, the corporate world has become increasingly complex. Competitive pressure is constantly mounting, presenting ever greater challenges for human resources management. More than 90% of Germany's 1,000 largest companies struggle to fill their vacancies. To continue recruiting highly qualified staff in the future, professionalising applicant management is essential. Key performance indicators play a central role in this, as they make the success of recruitment measurable. This thesis examines the usefulness and application of key performance indicators in applicant management. In particular, it analyses the key performance indicators using BayWa AG as a case study to demonstrate which key metrics are relevant in practice. Furthermore, optimisation strategies are developed to efficiently exploit the potential of applicant management software.
