Called Out: Ten Revelations for God’s Chosen Who Were Pulled from Religion and Prepared a Purpose That Cannot Be Contained

You were not abandoned. You were set apart. You still love God. You still hunger for His presence. Yet the church environment that once felt like home no longer seems able to hold the faith you are living. If leaving has brought painful labels, rejection, or uncertainty about your calling, Called Out speaks directly to that experience. In ten Scripture-centered chapters, Dr. Don Schaefer invites believers to reconsider seasons of separation as opportunities for spiritual formation and renewed purpose. Drawing on biblical accounts of calling, wilderness preparation, and life in the Spirit, he explores what it means to become the Church outside the walls. Within these pages, you will explore: The difference between institutional religion and the living community Jesus builds. Carrying God's presence into everyday life and making worship a daily offering. Understanding rejection and wilderness seasons through the lens of spiritual preparation. Following the Holy Spirit while valuing genuine fellowship, wisdom, and accountability. >With direct pastoral encouragement, biblical reflection, practical steps toward action, and a closing prayer of consecration and activation, Schaefer calls readers toward a faith expressed in daily obedience and meaningful community. Your story does not end with leaving. Take the next step toward living out your calling.
