Bol Literary Calaveras are short poems for Dia de Muertos that take what would be a very a scary moment and they turn it into a funny and joyful celebration with the dead. Just like adding light to a jack-o-lantern, or making of Halloween a fun costume party, this tradition inspires laughter in scary moments, and let's face it you can't be scared if you are laughing! (& Just like that, the negative ends when it meets a positive!)A Calaverita is a space where you can be silly and creative about a sticky situation, a negative bugger of a thought, a scary moment, and watch it be just an accent in the canvas your are creating, and not the whole picture. Flowers still bloom in the shade!
