CAI Teaching for Geography

"The advent of the new technological era has redefined the very parameters of today's work places and consequently of the school education process. The role of teacher has subtly shifted from being the 'sole provider' of knowledge to being a 'facilitator' as the student explores for himself the expansive world of knowledge" 2 (www c.t.com) In other words we can say that in this technological era the teacher needs to change the role from 'Dispenser of knowledge to that of an 'Information Manager'. There is a need to implement an integrated approach to teaching and learning in which a variety of teaching and learning strategies are engineered and implemented with precision.
