Traveling blues musician, Keith Hobbs, a twenty-six-year-old guitarist unearths his father's legacy and lets something dead climb into his music. Son of legendary bluesman, Chaney Wayne Hobbs, Keith inherits more than old songs when he discovers a strange sunburst acoustic named Cadillac and begins hearing the voice of a mysterious figure. At first, Cadillac seems like a muse, offering Keith a way to pour grief, shame, longing, and broken love into music, but the deeper Keith plays, the more the instrument appears to open passages into buried memories, dead voices, and crossroads where sorrow waits in human shape. Each song opens a wound. A girl's suicide starts whispering again. A mother dies with guilt in her soul. Missing women vanish into Delta River country. Friends and lovers are consumed by torment and horror where every song is a door, and the dead do not stay buried. In Hazelrigg, Missouri music isn't just music-it's a bloodline, a curse, a summons. Meanwhile, Keith's band, Moonlight Dive, rises toward fame with songs that seemed pulled from the grave itself.
