BREATHE INTO: Art of Transforming Depression into Blessings First and foremost, we need to understand that depression is not a disease but rather a signal of a phenomenon that strives to bring our spirit and body back to a state of balance. Clearly, something within us is observing and adjusting. This phenomenon is the love within us, and it is our divine being. If we perceive depression as a disease, depression will become more entrenched, and fear will multiply. Depression is not a disease, but it carries and bears the weight of a disease. Just like a tumor, depression bears the burden of accumulated toxins over time due to our way of living, thinking, and acting. It signals that parts of our body can no longer contain toxins, forcing the body to create a place to gather all harmful energies, thus forming tumors. Similarly, depression occurs when the mind temporarily helps us bear hidden pains caused by psychological trauma, giving us time to adjust and recover both mentally and physically. Unpleasant events and sorrowful experiences in life also serve to help us recognize and be grateful for what we have. Gratitude fosters calmness, which illuminates the mind, paving the way to overcome great challenges and ascend in life. >The path of earthly life is not smooth. It is not just humans but all creatures across the universe that pass-through spring, summer, autumn, and winter. If we fear the cold of winter, the entire world will freeze indoors. If we endlessly mourn fallen leaves, how could we grasp the profound beauty of autumn? If we dread the flowering and fruiting of spring, no tree will grow, and life would perish. If we feared the summer sun, no ant would leave its nest to forage for food. Spring, summer, autumn, and winter must exist in life's cyclical rhythm. On the path of life, there are ups and downs, life and death, joy and sorrow, abundance and scarcity. Change is natural in life's transformative cycles. Because life is impermanent, we must live ordinarily. Appreciate and cherish even transient moments, treating even adversities as beautiful memories of this human journey. For we will not traverse this path again. If life is impermanent and we are abnormal, the danger is great! Our fear spreads fear to others. The more we fear, the more lost and trapped we become. Knowing that life is a river flowing through various circumstances, we must shape a way of living adaptable to every situation. A way of living is more crucial than life itself. It is our way of living that imbues life with meaning and flavor. Even when faced with the abyss, let us remain calm and hopeful, transforming pain and loss into blessings that grow our character, expand our compassion, and continuously elevate our lives.
