Born of Fire: From the Ashes Trauma to Empire Light

Before Kelli Malone became KJ Paris, she learned how to survive.Born in Heidelberg and shaped by family, basketball, loss, love, work, trauma, and reinvention, Kelli carried fire long before she understood what it could become.BORN OF FIRE is a raw and reflective memoir about the difference between surviving and truly healing-and the courage it takes to become the author of your own life. Moving through childhood wounds, identity, relationships, caregiving, barber school, and the creation of Lady Boss Vision, Kelli transforms pain into purpose without pretending the journey is finished. This is not a story told from a perfect finish line. It is the story of rebuilding while the dust is still in the air. With honesty, strength, and moments of hard-earned wisdom, Kelli confronts the versions of herself that learned to stay quiet, carry too much, and keep moving no matter the cost. Along the way, she discovers that healing does not mean becoming harmless. It means setting boundaries, reclaiming your voice, and refusing to keep burning yourself just to keep someone else warm.BORN OF FIRE is for every person who learned how to survive before they learned how to live-and for anyone ready to turn their ashes into something meaningful. The dream did not die. She simply had to grow into it.A memoir of survival, healing, identity, transformation, and becoming.- KJ Paris
