Bone Merchant (Book 1 of the Fallen Detective Series)

From the author of Rabbit King and Director's Cut comes a bone-crunching detective thriller where murder is wholesale, and the dead are worth more than the living... The Bone Merchant doesn't just kill - he harvests his victims and sells their organs to the highest bidder, and somewhere beneath the city, business is thriving. Ex-cop Lenny Mallock lost his badge trying to stop men exactly like him, but that hasn't stopped him from chasing the city's most dangerous monsters. Following the bloody trail into a criminal underworld built on the dead, Lenny closes in on a network of buyers, brokers, and surgeons who treat human bodies like inventory. Every step closer puts him in the sights of people with far more to lose than he does. He has to find the Bone Merchant before another body is stripped for parts - because in this city, the line between hunter and merchandise is thinner than Lenny could ever imagine. Part detective thriller, part waking nightmare, Bone Merchant drags the reader through a city where the dead don't stay buried-and where redemption means digging up the truth one body at a time
