My service in Iraq ended in a blaze of something like glory and something like the breath of hell. Now I'm back in my hometown of Woodhill, and all I want is to pick up my life where it left off. Instead, my childhood friend Alistair Blackwood has become obsessed with ancient gods and other worlds. I also bump-literally-into Mora Fee, the pretty math-nerd band-geek who tutored me in high school. She's all grown up now and writing her Dissertation on unreal particles and cross-dimensional physics.Now I'm chasing Alistair through the multi-verse to stop him from waking a monstrous goddess and coming back to destroy our world.
