The Queen has been poisoned. The Black Talons return Princess Michelle safely home-only to discover that Queen Violet, her mother, is dying from a deadly poison. The weapon was a desert rose, a rare bloom grown high in the mountains of Nezre. And it seems Nezre is not finished with the royal family yet. Raven uncovers the only known cure: an ice rose, a legendary flower said to grow deep within the caverns of the mountains that tower over the frozen north.
