Living organisms, thanks to the unrelenting refinements of the evolutionary process, are exceptional models from which we can learn how to obtain radical increases in efficiency in use of organizational resources. Some of the solutions presented in this brief essay have already been tested and have already taken root in current organizations, but what the biomimetic approach suggests is a new and different perspective through which we can re-envision problems and opportunities, a complete new framework that promotes the type of integrated thinking we’ll need more and more in the future.
