Orthodontics, similar to other fields in dentistry, is in constant need for research and improvement in the biomaterials used. Indeed, the field of orthodontic materials has vastly expanded in the recent decades with the fabrication of new archwire materials, new brackets materials and systems, as well as the introduction of clear aligners.
