Heagen spent 39 years unsuccessfully searching for happiness and fulfillment. Then the Lord stepped in and offered him a new life of purpose and direction in His Service.Following his spiritual awakening in 2004, Father Bill took an early retirement from a career as an accountant of 26 years to seek a more fulfilling life in service to the Lord. He was ordained as "Independent Catholic Clergy" in October 2010, at the age of 55 years and was later elevated to Bishop.Fr. Bill is a missionary priest who tries to carry God's message to the people "On Their Turf by walking the streets of New Jersey, working with addicts and alcoholics, thousands of passengers on cruise ships, and as a Hospice Chaplain. He is not afraid to get his feet wet and hands dirty in his efforts to extend mercy and compassion to suffering souls.
