Bol Partner Antitrinitarianism and Socinianism, theologies denying the Holy Trinity and therefore considered to be one of the most horrific heresies by both the Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches, had a substantial influence in the Netherlands during the Golden Age. In particular when the Socinians were expelled from Poland, several so-called Polish Brethren found an asylum in the Dutch Republic, where they were welcomed in predominantly Remonstrant and Mennonite circles. In this tolerant setting they managed to produce their voluminous Bibliotheca fratrum Polonorum, however, clandestinely and with false imprints. In commemoration of the 400th day of the death of Faustus Socinus (1539-1604) all printed sources (Part I) and modern studies (Part II) on this subject, writings of protagonists and their orthodox opponents, are now listed for the very first time. This bibliography, including analytical descriptions of pre-1800 imprints, will offer a necessary reference tool for church historians and scholars of book history.
