Beside The Shimmer

Emma was not cool or popular, this was made abundantly clear to her every day by several of the people she was forced to be in school with. She was having a particularly bad day. A bully spilled hot chocolate all over her shirt and she was forced to take a different way to school, an alley that she was not familiar with. Almost immediately she bumped into another girl and in the confusion the girl dropped a magical sextant. Emma attempted to follow her and return the item, but instead bore witness to the girl being murdered by a ghostly priest and his red eyed dog. Now they seem to be after Emma as well, she finds herself in a world where fae and magic are very real, and very dangerous. Emma and her new fae friends Nika, a barista who has horns and a tail, and Kal, a half boy half monkey, must figure out a way to stop this enemy before time runs out.
