BEFORE I WAS MATTHEW

What if the life you have always known is only part of your story? Matthew has never questioned who he is. He knows the people he calls family. He knows the home where he grew up, the memories of his childhood, and the life that shaped the man he became. But sometimes, the questions we never ask are the ones that matter most. As the past begins to cast a shadow over the present, Matthew finds himself drawn toward questions he never imagined he would have to face. Questions about identity. About belonging. About memory. And about the meaning of the life we believe is truly ours. Some truths remain buried for years. Not because they are forgotten, but because the people who carry them learn how to live around them. BEFORE I WAS MATTHEW is a literary mystery about identity, family, belonging, memory, and the complicated nature of love. It is a story about the lives we inherit, the choices that shape us, and the questions that can change everything when we finally dare to ask them. Because sometimes, finding out who you are begins with discovering that you have never known the whole story. BEFORE I WAS MATTHEW Who was he before he was Matthew?
