Beaver Teeth

Beaver Teeth is a beautifully illustrated children's story about building confidence from the inside out. Meet Baxter, a young beaver with unusually large front teeth. He is proud of his teeth because his Papa admires them, but when Baxter tries to make friends at the pond, he is teased and called "Beaver Teeth." Baxter withdraws and starts to believe the negative things said about him. With guidance from his Mama and Papa, Baxter learns that his teeth are a special gift and that sometimes, others tease to hide their own insecurities. Mama teaches Baxter important lessons about confidence and teaches him the power of positive self-talk. Baxter practices these lessons and learns how to have confidence. When a storm threatens the village, Baxter's large teeth become a heroic asset. Baxter clears fallen trees that block the river, saving the village and becoming a hero. This uplifting story celebrates how to nurture the power within to cultivate confidence and resilience. Beaver Teeth is part of a STEM Series by Margie Stiles: Am I a Weed? and Everett the Brave.
