In the third book release from Make It Write Publishing, Louisiana author Gregory Fischer presents a book of poetry called Beach Playlist. The poems feature a special emphasis on rhythm. Categorized into popular musical genres (Rock, Love Songs, The Blues, Country, Classical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Metal, and Gospel), Fischer's poems explore themes of recovery, grief, humor, love, family, and faith. Most of the poetry is written in free verse, but there are also poems written in traditional forms such as sonnets, elegies, abecedarian, and uniform stanzas. "On one hand, I've written a bunch of songs without music. On the other, many were written with the backdrop or at least the spirit of sandy beach coastlines." --from the Author's Note.
