Balintataw: A Psychological Thriller of Memory and Deception

Eight months ago, Kleng Isidro's sister died on a Manila bridge in the rain. The report said driver error. Kleng has spent every night since trying not to remember the strange men she saw working on that same guardrail hours earlier-and failing. Now the nightmares won't let her forget. Vivid, intrusive, impossible to shake, they keep pulling her back to the old Ayala Bridge, showing her fragments she can't explain: a face, a company logo, a second car she never should have been able to see. Are they visions? Memory clawing its way to the surface? Or is grief finally breaking her mind the way everyone around her has started to whisper it has? When a frightened electrician confesses he did off-the-books repair work on that exact railing the night before the crash, Kleng's private nightmare becomes a very public conspiracy-one that reaches from a quietly falsified inspection report all the way to one of the city's most powerful developers. As she and a small, unlikely circle of allies dig deeper, someone starts making sure they regret it: a bribe disguised as compassion, a smear campaign built from her own worst fears, and finally, a demand delivered in person, at midnight, on the bridge where it all began.Balintataw is a psychological thriller about grief, memory, and the terrible cost of being the only one who saw the truth-and the courage it takes to make everyone else finally look.
