The question arises as to whether society today is prepared to have its personal health data collected via activity trackers and other monitoring devices, as well as health platforms, and to allow this data to be analysed. The study also sought to identify the factors influencing the acceptance of wearables. This survey summarised ten studies following three literature reviews covering different time periods. Based on the results, expert interviews were conducted. The findings from the literature reviews and expert interviews were compared in terms of similarities and differences. Subsequently, an empirical study on the acceptance of activity and sleep trackers was carried out. The results and recommendations are also included in this report.
