Aquamistic

On Christmas Eve, an earthquake strikes the northern coast of Puerto Rico, unleashing a devastating tsunami. An elderly surgeon, sheltered in his oceanfront apartment, survives the disaster and watches as his familiar world transforms into an aquatic landscape reminiscent of Venice. But from the churning waters emerges something even more astonishing: the Aquamistic, a prehistoric creature of hypnotic beauty that dwelled in subterranean caverns for eons, now freed by the cataclysm into the open ocean for the first time. What begins as an implausible sighting becomes an extraordinary bond between man and beast, forged through music, food, and a communication that defies all logic.Yet wonder also draws greed. Poachers, corrupt authorities, and unscrupulous entrepreneurs threaten to destroy what nature has gifted. The surgeon must choose between silence and resistance.A fable about human resilience, the power of nature, and the invisible bonds that unite all living things.
