Animalian Universe: Trail of the Missing Hare: 1

Set in an industrialized world, where space travel within the Solar System is possible via fusion engines, the novel portrays an alternative universe populated by evolved animals. When an agricultural worker, a hare, vanishes without a clear trace, only a trio of young animals is about to begin a search for him. They have yet to discover how deep the rabbit hole goes. The hare's community refuses an investigation and ditches the disappeared one as they perceive him as too weird. Official security forces cannot search for the missing animal due to society's rigid rules. A young wolf, cat, and fox begin their own unofficial investigation. For them, the hare is a role model because he wanted to change his place in society, which is against the caste system based on animal species. The protagonists want to challenge this system themselves when choosing their own careers. Using hi-tech tools and hacking tricks, they discover the truth about the missing hare and their own world: who the real villains are, how to preserve life from destruction, what defines a person, and what lies beyond their reality. The protagonists face multiple obstacles, contrasted by the warmth of family. Ecological decay of the animalian Earth and unpredictable invasions of mysterious creatures of an unknown origin make the characters account for these issues, but at the same time might help them on their mission.
