Angels: The Open Gate

BOOK 10 - ANGELS: The Open GateThe gate is open.Eighteen thousand lives are waiting on the other side. And nobody has enough authority to rule them all. When a catastrophic failure threatens the people of Vara, an ancient route becomes their only chance of survival. Opening it could save thousands. But opening a gate is an act.It is not a constitution. What begins as an emergency evacuation quickly becomes something far larger. Dormant routes awaken. Forgotten systems begin searching for populations they were built to rescue centuries ago. Displaced governments struggle to survive without ground beneath them. Historic roads reconnect communities that no longer belong to the same world. And an ancient system created out of mercy begins doing something terrifying: It refuses to stop helping.Mara Reed and Gideon are no longer fighting to discover who should rule. They are confronting a harder possibility-that perhaps no one should. As rescue becomes recovery, recovery becomes return, and closed worlds cautiously begin speaking again, every gate forces a new question.Who may open it?Who may cross?Who may refuse? And when the emergency is over, who has the authority to close it again?Because a door can save a life.A door can also become a throne.ANGELS: The Open Gate is the tenth and final novel in the ANGELS series-a sweeping psychological and supernatural fantasy thriller about rescue, freedom, belonging, government, identity, family, return, and the difference between having the power to open a door and having the right. The final battle was never about who would control the gate.It was about whether the gate could finally become what it was always supposed to be.A door.
