Andy Warhol Prints

The updated edition of Andy Warhol: Prints, a definitive scholarly catalogue raisonné, reproduces more than 1,700 prints in full color with complete documentation. Tracing Warhol’s graphic oeuvre from his first unique works on paper in 1962 to his final published portfolio in 1987, it serves as a major reference for collectors, libraries, curators, academics and art professionals. The edition is thoroughly revised and expanded, including new sections on Warhol’s popular portraits and a supplement of prints and illustrated books from the 1950s, such as the beloved 25 Cats Named Sam and One Blue Pussy. An essay addresses Warhol’s self-published books and portfolios, complemented by an extensive chronology of printmaking activity, an exhibition history, a selected bibliography and an enlarged appendix to published prints.

Frayda Feldman and Jorg Schellmann are the authors. The book was published in 2016 by DAP ARTBOOK (Distributed Art Publishers). It is a hardcover edition, 400 pages, and represents the 4th edition of the catalogue raisonné, detailing Warhol’s output across the 1962–1987 period with meticulous documentation.
