This paper presents a prospective, biomedical investigation into the development of a bionanocomposite film in the form of oral capsules to treat facial ulcers caused by psychological trauma. Facial ulcers are a growing disease, often linked to physical trauma, but psychological factors require innovative treatment. The components of the film-capsule are essential for effective drug formulation. The main components of the bionanocomposite shell include nano-cellulose, chitosan, PCL, PEG and sorbitol. Hard capsules are best made with these materials, offering stability and biodegradability. Soft capsules are more complex to manufacture due to chemical compatibility. We have hypothesized a link between psychological trauma and facial ulceration, although this has not been clearly established. Psychological factors may influence the condition of facial skin, in the presence of certain nasal bacteria. Clinical studies are needed to verify the hypothesis, once the physico-chemical, toxicological and antimicrobial properties of the proposed remedy have been validated.
