"Nothing As The Ideal" werd opgenomen in Studio 2 van de befaamde Abbey Road Studios met hulp van mixing engineer Mike Allred. All Them Witches' zesde studio-album, dit keer voor het eerst als trio, bevat weer hun unieke mix van 'alternative rock, psychedelic desert blues, classic heavy rock and dark country'. De Abbey Road vibe (denk aan Pink Floyd en The Beatles) gemixed met de Nashville band's signature dirty rock sound resulteerde in 'the most experimental though cohesive album; it's a provking headbanger, marked by their broadest atmospheres and vibes, intimate and pummeling'.
