Act of Murder: A Detective Al Warner Novel

A deep scrub of the South and Southeast finds a total of 18 previously unconnected murders over 10 years, scattered from Virginia to Florida. The knife-in-the-heart is a recent escalation. Then, on Warner's hunch, the FBI discovers a possible connection, but there are multiple potential suspects. Several are visiting Miami, but trickery abounds during the investigation, spawning false leads and surprising twists before a clever ploy by Warner brings everything to a stunning conclusion.
