Bol Sam loves pancakes. They are his favorite, and he could eat them all day everyday until he finds out his family is moving to another country. And that country doesn't have pancakes like the ones Sam wants. They have wimpy "NOT PANCAKES." What is Sam to do? Trying new things is not Sam's strength. His first reaction is usually to pout. Illustrator Rebekah Joplin's work shows the dilemma Sam faces in trying to be flexible and let go of his pout, and he might even find his smile. The book includes recipes for different pancakes from around the world including the author's grandmother's Fry Bread recipe.Ages 4-10 years
