A True Memoir of Benedict Arnold

THE REAL STORY OF BENEDICT ARNOLDBefore he betrayed the United States, before he was a famous war hero, Benedict Arnold led a company of Minute Men and the Narrator of this story was his young orderly. From this intimate perspective, the lad witnessed Arnold's incredible feats of wartime heroism and personal sacrifice, as they trek through the wilderness to invade Canada, hold a winter siege of Quebec, and battle the British Navy on Lake Champlain. What begins as a boy's adventure, turns into a young man's coming of age when Arnold is wounded in combat and takes a position as Military Commander of Philadelphia. There, amidst mob violence and political persecution, the crippled hero becomes disillusioned with the emerging American governments and the Narrator struggles with his own loyalties as the General's conspiracy races towards its climax.
