a Touch of Red Blood: Being Tale Cursed Romance

Rabbit Warren¿s exciting new novel is a romantic horror psycho-thriller set against a glittering background of fine paintings, alpine mountains, fast cars and high living . . . When recently-retired Austrian sports car mechanic Max falls in love with the beautiful, cat-like art-restorer Minzi whilst on holiday in the Netherlands, he feels that his life has been rejuvenated. However, he is wary of Minzi¿s desire to marry him as soon as possible. Not only had this also been his first wife¿s wish forty years before but their marriage had quickly turned sour, with his wife Vicky being killed within a year whilst rock climbing with Max in the Alps. Believing his life to be cursed by an avenging eagle from his childhood, Max¿s memories of this tragic accident come flooding back to him when he notices that Minzi keeps re-touching a mountain picture of hers showing an eagle attacking a climber. Along with Minzi¿s dark passion for the grotesque paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, as well as her strange behavior and habits, Max realizes that she must be mixed up in witchcraft and Black Magic whilst knowing a lot more about Vicky than she lets on. Light horror and tragic drama author and children¿s fantasy writer Rabbit Warren has also penned several similar dark but beautiful romantic short stories, including "For the Love of Art" ("The Madman and other Tales with a Chilling Twist") and "Madame Guillotine" ("Tragic and Twisted Tales of Unexpected Death").
