Highlights include exquisite goldsmith work, paintings by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Hans Holbein the Elder and Hans Burgkmair, and masterpieces of Italian maiolica and bronze sculpture by Giambologna. Acquired largely in the 19th and early 20th centuries, several works have remained unseen by the public until now.
