A Personal Jewish Theology for the 21st Century

What does it mean to be Jewish in the twenty-first century, without settling for easy answers? In this book, Gui Susteras traces the journey that took him from two decades in the energy sector to the seminary benches of rabbinical school, where a simple question - "What do you believe?" - became an invitation to rebuild his own theology. Written with honesty and intellectual rigor, the author moves through the central themes of Jewish faith: the nature of God, the authority of Torah, the meaning of prayer, the bonds linking the Jewish people, human suffering, and what, if anything, survives death.Blending personal reflection, engagement with classical and contemporary Jewish thinkers, and lived experience as a community leader, Susteras offers a Reform and Reconstructionist theology - rooted in tradition, yet alive, inclusive, and always under construction. An invitation to any Jew, or anyone curious about Judaism, who believes questions matter more than certainty.
