A New Way of Righteousness

A New Way of Righteousness is an associate-level elective course designed to help students understand righteousness through the finished work of Christ.This course teaches that righteousness is not earned by human effort, religious performance, law-keeping, personal perfection, or self-condemnation. Righteousness is received by faith in Jesus Christ.Students will study the difference between self-righteousness and the righteousness of God, the Old Covenant and the New Covenant, condemnation and justification, religious striving and grace, identity and transformation, and how believers live holy lives from the foundation of righteousness by faith.The goal of this course is to establish students in the truth that the believer in Christ is accepted, justified, redeemed, and made righteous by grace through faith. This righteousness is not a license for sin; it is the foundation for holy living, Spirit-led transformation, and confident service to God.
