A Gift from Heaven

Jerry Blakeslee was an ordinary man living an ordinary life-until one Christmas Eve changed everything. After a near-fatal electrocution, Jerry awakens with memories of a place between Earth and Heaven and a startling new ability: he can see events that have not yet happened in the lives of those he loves. At first, knowing the future seems like a gift. Before long, Jerry discovers that some knowledge is far easier to receive than to live with. He sees happiness coming, but he also sees loss, illness, tragedy and moments he desperately wants to prevent. As the years pass, Jerry must decide whether knowing what lies ahead gives him the power to change it-or simply forces him to understand how precious every ordinary moment really is.Through marriage, parenthood, grief, laughter, faith and a love that refuses to end with death, Jerry searches for meaning in a life that suddenly feels anything but ordinary.A Gift From Heaven is a deeply human story about family, mortality, second chances and the possibility that the greatest gifts are not always the ones we would choose for ourselves. At its heart, it asks one simple question: If you knew how the story ended, would you still choose to live it?
