Ferrel convinced members of The Committee for the Protection of Neighborhood Resources they would have fifteen seconds of fame by voting to bring the current heart throb Zevy to make a movie in the Community of Abner. A fast-talking salesman shows up to convince the committee to drop the sport of find the nut and replace it with one called baseball. And, Penny and Ferrel Jr. learn their son Sam has the uncanny ability to see the future. From Roscoe's perspective, it was a typical year in the Community of Abner.
