This noir psychological thriller links a 1953 killing in Soviet Russia to events 65 years later in the steamy heat of Florida's Space Coast, where recovering alcoholic and Boston transplant Eddie Slaski is caught in a web of coincidence, murder, past-life trauma, and karmic justice. Recently widowed and newly sober, Eddie moves to Florida in an attempt to reboot his life, but he soon finds that a new town, a new career, and a new love can't protect him from the darkness that haunts his dreams and threatens everyone and everything he touches. Neither Eddie nor his new love Madelyn is aware that the recurring nightmares they experience are actually past-life memories of the same horiffic event in which a man named Mikhail beats his wife Stella to death in a drunken rage. By sheer coincidence, they are seeing the same psychiatrist, but neither informs the other about their dream or psychiatric care, and the psychiatrist is unaware of their relationship. Drawn together by a series of strange coincidences, Eddie and Madelyn become entangled in a present-day murder case involving a missing NASA engineer's wife, stolen money, and powerful men who may have used Eddie's investigative skills to help set up the crime. As the modern case develops, their relationship soon devolves into additional murders and alcohol-fueled chaos. They survive, but others around them aren't so lucky.
