A Court of Bone and Storm: 3

The path to the source point is open. The network is restored. All Mara has to do is walk in and close the Rift before the three-hundred-year plan running underneath the Shattered Meridian beats her to it.It is not that simple.Someone is already in the Bone Court's cave when they arrive. Someone who knows exactly how the path works and has spent nineteen years maintaining a plan she did not choose, carrying an inheritance handed down through generations of Wardens since the First Court's fall. The storm driving across the plateau is not weather. It is a weapon. And the window to walk the path before it closes is measured in hours. At the source point, something older than the Courts and older than the Rift itself has been waiting for a Riftborn to make a choice. The choice Mara makes will close the seam, still the Rift, and save Ashford's Ridge and every settlement running a countdown they stopped being able to watch. It will also open a question she did not know to ask, one that will take the next two books to answer. The darkest entry in the series. The one where everything converges, the anchor holds the door, the Riftborn walks through, and two people who have been not-saying something for eleven months finally say it.
