The second instalment of the story that continues where the book, 'Ben-Hur A Tale of the Christ', by Lew Wallace, concluded. 'Ben-Hur' was principally about a Jewish prince condemned to slavery by his Roman brother, this novel looks at what happened next through the eyes of a Roman (Pontius Pilate) and his sons. Justus Pilate is exiled in Parthia, his once favoured family all but destroyed by forces in the shadows of Imperial Rome. To say nothing of the love of his life who died a hero’s death.
