Bol Quantitative Pharmacokinetic Modeling and Internal Absorbed Dose Estimation of 18F-FDG in PET Imaging This book presents an integrated framework bridging dynamic pharmacokinetic modeling, volumetric image processing, and internal radiation dosimetry in PET/CT imaging. Based on practical training data from the Nuclear Research Center of Algiers (CRNA), the work establishes a robust quantitative methodology using a three-compartment kinetic model (Cp, Ce, Cm) to analyze transport rates (k1- k4) and intracellular metabolic trapping of 18F-FDG-6-PO4. Utilizing advanced medical image visualization via AMIDE, Time-Activity Curves (TACs) were extracted for critical organs and malignant tissues. Applying the Medical Internal Radiation Dose (MIRD) formalism, the study demonstrates how mathematical modeling validates organ safety, optimizes the Tumor-to-Background Ratio (TBR) at 60 minutes post-injection, and establishes personalized radiation protection protocols for clinical practice.
