This bradoon loose ring snaffle from Sprenger is often used in combination with a dressage bar. So it is a combination of 2 different bits that are simultaneously in the horse's mouth. This type of bit is mainly used in higher dressage and is only for the most experienced riders. Rings of an undercut bit are smaller so that there is enough space for the working of the dressage weymouth. A bar and snaffle requires a special bridle with double cheekpiece. This bridle has a double-broken mouthpiece and a round centerpiece that provides pressure on the tongue. Because the centerpiece has a forward angle of 45 degrees it lies kindly on the tongue and provides constant connection. The flatter the centerpiece the sharper the bit.
