L Mesitran Ointment

L-Mesitran Ointment wound ointment is very suitable for the treatment of (contaminated) chronic and/or acute wounds. In addition, it is also very suitable for the treatment of 1st and 2nd degree burns. The wound gel will debride deep or superficial wounds and reduce bacterial colonization. A thin layer of the wound gel, combined with a dressing change once daily or once every two days, is sufficient for optimal effect. This wound gel does not adhere to the wound.  L-Mesitran Ointment wound ointment contains: 48% Medical Grade Honey, hypoallergenic lanolin (Medilan®), sunflower oil, cod liver oil, Calendula Officinalis, Aloe Barbadensis, vitamins C & E and zinc oxide. L-Mesitran Ointment wound gel contains 48% Medical Grade Honey and has a more compact composition than L-Mestiran Soft (40% Medical Grade Honey). Because of this, the Ointment wound gel may cause prickling in the wound in some cases.
